PKG Bonus Tips
With our sudden changes in temperatures, there’s more to worry about than how to dress for the day☀️
Our March temps have been erratic. A sudden jump from cool weather to very warm is extremely hard on plants, and the temperature of the soil can be very deceiving. The most important thing to do right now is to monitor what’s going on in your garden every day, and especially during extreme heat days. Here are a few tips to keep your garden healthy!
- Protect tender plants and seedlings – particularly those in direct sun. Make sure to give them a little shade!
- Be aware of plant locations. Reflective walls or near cement walk ways are much hotter than other areas.
- Water early in the morning.
- Stay ahead of this heat wave by keeping plants and soil moist – don’t allow plants and seedlings to dry out!
