Complete Garden Design
Garden Design
A successful garden design is a five part strategy.
- Plant the right plant in the right season.
- Choose the ideal location for your garden.
- Design your garden to encourage it’s full potential for growth and a bountiful harvest.
- Plan for pathways and plant placement, allowing easy access for pruning, harvest, and automated irrigation set-up.
- Use plant placement and support to ensure all plants receive the right amount of sunlight, space, and companions that work with – not against – each other.
Plant Plans
Not every plant flourishes in every season, especially here in the low desert. In the Valley of the Sun, you really can have a thriving garden year-round as long as you install plants at their ideal time.
Based on your garden size, we will design custom plant plans for each garden space. Plant plans include how and when to plant, spacing guidelines, watering needs, soil recipes, care and maintenance, and harvest timing.
Coaching
Growing a garden is so very rewarding! It provides the opportunity to connect with nature and savor and share the fruits of your labor.
Regular access to a garden coach can help answer questions and give guidance in the moment. Help with pruning, pests, regular maintenance and harvest are just a handful of ways garden coaching in invaluable.
Planting & Rotation Plans
Your garden plan includes the best layout for raised beds, pathways, fences, and plant supports such as trellises and arches.
Seasonal planting and rotation plans, along with soil supplement recommendations are included.
Resource List For Materials
Garden materials vary widely, and those materials change the architecture and success of your garden spaces.
Raised Beds can be designed in cedar, brick, corten steel (designed to resist weathering) or galvenized metal, just to name a few.
Garden Structures such as trellises, arbors, and obelisks add graceful supports for larger plants. They can also enhance the beauty of your garden and landscape.
Growing medium and garden supplies are not all created equal. I will share my tried and true list of preferred soil, supplements, irrigation supplies, and installers.
